KILLER KANE, KILLER KANE, HAD A KID WHO GOT NO BRAIN

When I read the chapter "Killer Kane, Killer Kane, had a kid who got no brain" the book started to get kind-of unrealistic to me.
(Quote for text) "The shouting and singing goes on and on,and pretty soon some of the kids are throwing stuff at us, pencils and erasers and wadded-up paper, and it's like Mrs. Donelli has no idea what to do about it, the room is out of control."
Like why would the kids throw stuff? He just didn't answer a question...so what?
If this was a real class, Mrs. Donelli would do something, not have no idea what to do about it!

Anyways, what do think???????? Please comment

  1. Joy,

Very interesting point in the book to identify or ask questions about. It does seems unrealistic that this would be happening but what does it say about the classroom and the environment that they are living in. Are they really saying that Kane has no brain?

    Great Quote!

  2. I think that the chapter is saposed to represent the iggy scene not the classroom scene

  3. I agree with Sarah and Mr.B, I am really not sure what the quote has to do with your answer and explain. I also agree with Joy, the part where Killer Kane comes in DOES seem really unrealistic.

  4. Well, first of all this quote shows that there classroom environment is not that good (mostly because there teacher has no control over the class). Second of all, no, there saying Killer Kane's kid/Max has no brain.

  5. But I don't get why the class has to bring up the name Killer Kane...why don't they just say "Max has no brain?" not "Killer Kane, Killer Kane, had a kid who got no brain?
